FIELD: seismic prospecting. SUBSTANCE: geophone has frame, inert mass anchored in frame on elastic suspension, light guides with input and output lenses, source of optical radiation, photodetector and register. Characteristic feature of geophone lies in its insertion with fiber-optical measuring circuit, electrodynamic damping and system eliminating ambiguity of readings. First light guide is made with finish open from sleeving and having translucent coat and mirror-coated butt with exception of central part and is placed along axis of movement of inert mass. Mirrors are fixed on butt of inert mass in its central part and on sides in symmetry to axis of its movement. First light guide is connected via connector-splitter and second light guide to input of first photodetector whose output is linked to first and second inputs of microprocessor. First output of microprocessor is connected to first input of register whose second input is linked via microprocessor, analog-to-digital converter, second photodetector, third light guide to first and second input lenses. Second input of connector-splitter is connected via fourth light guide and third input lens to optical radiation generator generating two coherent waves. Source of constant optical radiation is linked via fifth light guide to output lenses. Bushing which side internal surface carries short-circuited electric turns is anchored on internal surface of mid-section of frame. Inert mass coming in the form of magnet is placed inside bushing.
