FIELD: quality control and diagnosing of automatic control systems and their components. SUBSTANCE: chosen as mathematical model of section under check is definite relationship including output signal image of section, gain factor, input signal image, time constant, real part of LaplaceТs variable. Rated parameters of diagnosing model, section check time Tc, rated gain factor and time constant of section are pre-determined using diagnostics model written in LaplaceТs image; section under check is substituted for that known to be good, difference between gain factor k of section under check and measured setting voltage kr is supplied to second tolerance- check circuit which yields unity-amplitude signal at output in case gain factor greatly deviates from rated value to indicate that k exceeds rated value. Device implementing proposed method has triggering circuit, pulse signal shaping unit, nonlinear function shaping unit, integrating unit, section under check, first multiplying unit, second dividing unit, second multiplying unit, second tolerance-check circuit, five amplifiers, and three adders.
