FIELD: automatic control; systems for checking and troubleshooting of linear automatic-control systems. SUBSTANCE: quantity of dynamic object: moving parts is recorded as well as quantity of check points on dynamic object, model of the latter is set, test action is applied to input, test cycle is conducted, and its results are used to detect deviations of object parameters from rated values, system response to constant-polarity square test signal is presented in the form of Fourier series, first term of expansion (dc component of output signal) is determined, sum of remaining terms of series is found while normalizing these terms including real general gain, determined values are compared with diagnostic model settings and various disturbing factors; then conclusion is made if object parameters conform to rated values; by measuring dc component of test action we can determine general gain of inspected object. Method is implemented by device given in description of invention. EFFECT: reduced diagnosing time and troubleshooting hardware cost. 2 cl, 4 dwg
