FIELD: generation equipment. SUBSTANCE: method may be used in design of generators using pulse gamma- quanta sources with nanosecond (1-100 ns) rate. Method involves preliminary production of asymmetry factor of Compton electron spreading, and triggering gamma-quanta pulse source. Goal of invention is achieved by design of asymmetry of Compton electron spreading using at least one wire, which is located about gamma- quanta source, so that distance from gamma-quanta source is less than mean free path distance of gamma-quanta in air at given height. Then, electric current is passed through wire. In addition, electric current in wire can be generated using detonation generator or detonation-magnetic generator. EFFECT: possibility to generate electromagnetic pulses in air at arbitrary height, possibility to control direction of spreading of electromagnetic pulses. 3 cl, 1 dwg
