TUBULAR MEMBRANE MODULE FOR FILTRATION OF LIQUID AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2156645 C1

FIELD: nano-, ultra or microfiltration in cross flow modes. SUBSTANCE: proposed module includes bank of parallel load-bearing tubes whose walls are made from fibrous materials impregnated with hardened binder and coated with semi-permeable membrane. Inner part of wall of each load-bearing open- pore tube of module consists of linen woven sleeve adjoining directly semi-permeable membrane covering its shells made from nonwoven material and impregnated with hardened thermoreactive binder at the following mass ratio of components, %: sleeve and shell, 65 to 80 and thermoreactive binder, 20 to 35. Method of manufacture of tubular membrane module includes impregnation of fibrous materials with thermoreactive binder, forming of multi-layer load-bearing open-pore tubes, hardening of binder in them and application of semipermeable membrane on their internal surface. Inner wall of each load-bearing open-pore tube is formed by placing it on rigid mandrel of sleeve and winding over spiral by tape of nonwoven material impregnated by thermoreactive binder. EFFECT: improved homogeneity of tube walls from the standpoint of permeability; reduction of defects; enhanced reliability. 3 cl, 3 dwg, q tbl, 7 ex
