FIELD: analytical instrumentation, determination of concentration of vapors of hydrocarbons gasolines in air. SUBSTANCE: invention can find use in warning of fire- and explosion-risky situations at chemical plants, gas-filling stations, in garages and in conducting of ecological monitoring. Proposed sensor is manufactured in the form of quartz piezoresonator on volumetric acoustic waves with film sensitive layer deposited on electrodes. Polymers and copolymers of polysililacetylenes with 18-25% content of Si are used in the capacity of material of sensitive layer. Given sensor can be recommended for wide concentration interval from 1 to 40 000 mg/cu m at temperature from 0 to 50 C. EFFECT: lowered limit of detection of hydrocarbons and gasolines below level of maximum permissible concentration, increased selectivity, accuracy and speed of response in wide concentration interval. 1 dwg, 3 tbl
