SUBSTANCE: described are polymeric agents for multipurpose applications, more particularly aqueous polymeric dispersion which comprises water-soluble polymer and polymeric dispersant. Polymer is water- soluble polymer with overage molecular weight of at least 5•105 dalton based on 70-99 wt % of at least one water- soluble monomer, 1-30 wt % of at least one. Aqueous polymeric dispersion comprises water-soluble polymer with average molecular weight of at least 5•105 dalton based on 70-99 wt % of at least one water-soluble monomer, 1-30 wt % of at least one hydrophobic monomer and 0-50 wt % of at least one amphiphilic 5-80 wt parts of monomer and 1-50 wt parts of polymeric dispersant.
