FIELD: preparation of building and finishing compositions for making exterior and interior coatings of walls and ceilings of buildings and structures. SUBSTANCE: binder comprises synthetic latex, thickener, surfactant such as product of treatment of mono-and dialkylphenol with ethylene oxide, and it further comprises sodium tripolyphosphate, water-retaining component such as metocell, alkali, foam suppressor, coalescent, antifreeze, fungicidal additive and antimony trioxide, ratios of components being as follows, wt %: latex, 32- 80, surfactant, 0.4-3; trickener, 0.3; sodium tripolyphosphate, 1.0-5; metocell, 0-49; alkali. 0.5-10: foam suppressor, 0.5-4.8; coalescent, 0-14; antifreeze, 0.5-5.0: fungicidal additive, 0.1-1.0; and antimony trioxide, 5-6.
