FIELD: animal endocrinology. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to breeding of chicken population with high level of functional reserves of adrenals. Criterion for selection is deviation of progeny with above-mentioned level by 1 or more per cent higher or lower than population-mean value in response to stimulation of gland by adrenocorticotropic hormone.
