FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to genomic selection and can be used in agriculture for determining stock value genotype animals in populations or rocks of cattle. Method involves collecting a biological material in part of individual livestock to create reference population, creating a reference population and genetic typing of individual reference population, sampling of biological material and genetic typing of individual analysed population, determination of reliability of genomic evaluation of individual analysed population, genetic certification and issue of recommendations regarding their management. Reference population is created from individuals females. Genome value DGV is determined from results of comparison of received data on genotype zooid with library signs, accumulated during treatment of animals from reference population. Reliability of genomic evaluation of individuals of analysed population, equal to r2(X, Y) where r is Pearson coefficient of linear correlation, X, Y are variables, is determined by X = DGV, Y = PA, where PA is average of all known ancestor for given individual, taken from an individual animal card.

EFFECT: method provides possibility of genomic selection in shortage of male individuals and high accuracy of estimation.
