The method involves applying the supporting member to the cut end face surface of the femur neck to form cut plane of predefined orientation of drilling axis relative to the cut plane. Setting member is directed from the guiding member. It is brought in engagement with peripheral part of the most narrow part of the femur neck at least in its two points to position the drilling axis at minimum distance from the peripheral part of the most narrow part of the femur neck.
