FIELD: facilities used mainly in extreme situations. SUBSTANCE: device may be used for people's rescue, as well as for cutting of fittings and crushing of stone plates. Device has cylinder 1 with holes 8 for gas bleeding, piston 3 with rod 9, and actuating mechanism 4. Cylinder 1 is provided with internal longitudinal grooves 2 originated at end of piston working stroke. Their length exceeds height of piston 3 by at least one fourth. Piston 3 is positioned in cylinder 1 and actuated by pressure source. Actuating mechanism 4 is coupled to rod 9. When piston 3 passes through zone of internal longitudinal grooves 2 gases break through into damping cavity 6, thus providing for high pressure in it.
