FIELD: equipment used, mainly in extremal conditions, for example at rescuing procedures, particularly, for cutting reinforcement, breaking stone plates and so on. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes cylinder with two cavities having different diameters. Said cavities (working and damping ones) are divided by means of mobile spring-loaded washer through which passes piston rod joined with actuating mechanism. Piston rod has opening that is open directly behind spring-loaded washer to damping cavity. Powder charge is used as pressure source. At detonation, gas is fed through opening to damping cavity creating sufficient pressure in it. After termination of working stroke, piston through washer compresses gas in said cavity. After stoppage gas pressure is reduced through gaps; return springs set mechanism to initial position. EFFECT: reduced mass of apparatus, its enhanced reliability and efficiency. 1 dwg
