FIELD: cutting reinforcement pieces, breaking stone plates and other similar works. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is in the form of cylinder having two cavities of different diameters- working and damping ones. Said cavities are mutually separated by means of movable washer arranged on piston rod for providing damping independently upon cavity diameter. Gun-powder charge placed in end portion of cylinder is used as pressure source. At detonation gases force upon piston with rod and simultaneously they are fed from working cavity to damping cavity sealed by means of check valve. Effort is transmitted to actuating mechanism such as shears. At termination of working stroke piston with rod acts upon movable washer and shock is absorbed. Then compressed gas is reduced through gaps along piston rod. With the aid of return spring actuating mechanism of shears and piston return to their initial position. EFFECT: light weight of apparatus due to use of gas medium absorbing shock energy as working fluid, enhanced reliability and efficiency of apparatus. 1 dwg
