FIELD: operations for restoring worn railway-road wheeled pairs and making new ones. SUBSTANCE: wheel pairs are restored and formed by mounting wheels at shifting inner faces towards center of axis of wheeled pair. Working rolling surfaces of wheeled pairs are subjected to common rotation and to linear shifting of rolling profiles of wheels and their ridges to inner face of rim; only to linear shifting of profiles; only to rotation of profiles. Wheel pair includes axle and two wheels having turned in cross plane and shifted to mean portion of axle rolling profiles and ridge profiles. It allows to increase slopes and lateral gaps between ridges and rail heads at keeping maximum or increased thickness of wheel ridges in order to provide increased useful period of ridges and rail heads. Increased conicity degree and increased gaps provide large difference of rolling diameter of wheels, possibility for free motion in cross direction and rotation around their vertical axis in condition of misalignment on straight and curvilinear portions of railway road, free turning without colliding of wheel ridges with rail heads.
