ROAD ACCIDENT WARNING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: traffic control; accident warning devices. SUBSTANCE: device has collision response unit intercoupled with actuating mechanism furnished with signalling element. Collision response unit is made in form of tie-rod one end of which is connected with vehicle front bumper and the other end, with turnable disk whose axle is secured on rear bumper. Turnable disk has bar engaging with trigger hook of signal piston actuating mechanism. Signal pistol has signalling and lighting cartridge consisting of cardboard case with metal bottom containing ejection charge. Proposed invention is aimed at provision of instantaneous automatic warning of accident caused by collision of vehicle with rigid obstacle and extreme braking of all other vehicle on the road to prevent their encountering. It facilitates also finding of culprit. EFFECT: reduced number of road accidents, improved safety of passengers and vehicle drivers on road. 2 cl, 2 dwg
