FIELD: manufacture of engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine includes cylinder block, cylinders with and without spark plugs, cylinder, fuel feed unit, cranks mechanism, valve gear, cylinder-and-piston group, intake and exhaust manifolds, crankcase and flywheel. Combustion chambers of cylinders without spark plugs form common combustion chamber of cylinders working adjacently. Intake manifold is splittable ensuring delivery of working media to cylinders working adjacently. Crankshaft ensure asynchronous passage of top dead centers by piston of adjacently working cylinders. Position of adjacently working cylinders at top dead center is asynchronous at shift of 10 to 30 deg of crankshaft turn. EFFECT: possibility of realization of two-stage combustion of fuel; enhanced economical efficiency; improved ecological and power parameters. 8 cl, 3 dwg
