FIELD: radiation monitoring. SUBSTANCE: scintillation sensor placed in additional collimator has gamma-ray sensing Bi4Ge3O12(BGO) crystal scintillator in the form of crystal with well accommodating insert of stilbene or plastic base neutron- sensing material and photoelectronic multiplier; in addition, amplitude sync- pulse analyzer is placed in electronic signal-processing unit at output of time selection circuit. Collimator is double-layer structure made of hydrogen- containing polyethylene neutron moderator (external layer) and cadmium neutron absorber (internal layer). Detector operates in telescopic mode to ensure directional recording of neutrons. EFFECT: improved signal-to-noise ratio of neutron-sensing insert of detector. 2 cl, 1 dwg
