SERVO ELEMENT ELECTROTHERMAL DRIVE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: different branches of industry and submarines; sliding doors, hatches, shutters. SUBSTANCE: proposed electrothermal drive has metal housing accommodating servo element made in form of curved tape. This tape is manufactured of material with reversible thermal memorized shape effect. One end of tape is rigidly secured in housing end face, and other end, in movable element in contact with rod. Thermoelectric modules are installed inside metal, between housing and servo element with heat contact with the latter. Both electric outputs of modules are connected through change-over switches to direct current source. EFFECT: provision of regulated intermittent duty within preset time interval commensurable with drive mechanism operation time. 2 dwg
