FIELD: protective devices. SUBSTANCE: device has sensor placed in insulating case and made in the form of resistor to record fault current flowing through apparatus; insulating case is placed in metal shell built up of two parts. Sensor and insulating case function as part of switching member. The latter bursts insulating case upon occurrence of fault current due to gas compression and displaces both parts of metal shell to expose indicating member and to complete fault current circuit.
