FIELD: methods and devices for treatment of sewage waters with use of electrical fields and sorption; applicable in purification of various liquid media. SUBSTANCE: method includes formation in treated water of artificial sorption layer 2-800 mm thick by treatment of treated water in anode zone with electrical field featuring voltage of 3-100 V, current intensity of 1 mA to 1000 A, main signal frequency of 0.1 Hz to 100 kHz. In treatment of low-turbid water, sorbent layer is additionally used. Device for embodiment of claimed method has generator, body separated by movable partition into cathode and anode zones. Anode has single-layer lateral grid 1-50 mm thick. Lower edge of partition forms gap 1-500 mm high together with bottom. Anode is provided on the side of working surface with removable projections.
