SUBSTANCE: invention provides novel phenylsulfonylurea derivatives with general formula I: (I), in which R1 is group CO-Q-R5; R2 hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl, and C1-C4-alkoxyl; R3 is C1-C4- alkylsulfonyl, mono-C1-C4-alkylaminosulfonyl or di-C1-C4- alkylaminosulfonyl, C1-C6-alkylcarbonyl (provided that indicated alkyl groups can be mono- or polysubstituted by halogen atoms), phenylcarbonyl, phenylsulfonyl (phenyl radical can be substituted by C1-C4-alkyl), formyl, -CO-CO-R' (wherein R' is C1-C4-alkyl), C1-C4- cycloalkylcarbonyl, C3-C6 or -C(=W)-T-R6, on condition that when group -C(=W)-NR7R8 is in p- position to sulfonylurea residue, -CH2-NR2R3 is other than unsubstituted R3- alkylcarbonyl; R2 and R3 form together group (-CH2)mB- or -B1-(CH2)m1-B-, wherein B and B1, independently from each other, represent sulfonyl or carbonyl; m = 3 or 4 and m1 = 2 or 3; W is oxygen or sulfur atom; Q oxygen or -NR9- group; T oxygen or sulfur atom; R4 hydrogen or methyl; R5 hydrogen or C1-C4-alkyl; R6 C1-C4-alkyl; R7 and R8, independently from each other, represent hydrogen or optionally halogen-polysubstituted - alkyl; C1-C4 R9-alkyl; A is group depicted by general formula C1-C4, in which Z is CH= or N=, one or X and Y is hydrogen, halogen or optionally halogen-substituted C1-C3-alkyl or C1-C3-alkoxyl, and the other is hydrogen or C1-C3-alkyl or -alkoxyl optionally substituted halogen or mono- or-di-C1-C3-alkylamino; and their salts. Compounds I exhibit herbicide activity and can be used as active ingredients in herbicide compositions. Invention also provides new compounds I intermediates with formula II: C1-C3 (II).
