FIELD: airfield and highway construction, applicable mainly in reinforcement or reconstruction of motor roads, airfields and motor-road bridges with asphalt-concrete pavement. SUBSTANCE: crack-interrupting interlayer has a chamber formed in the pavement and/or concrete base under the layer of pavement, filled with sealant and located above the crack or above the joint, and a pad of flexible material placed on the surface of the sealant. The novelty is in the fact that the chamber is filled with a non-polymerizing sealant by glueing of it in the form of band on the chamber bottom, and the pad of flexible material is applied on the upper surface of the sealant and placed in the chamber simultaneously with it; an antiadhesion coating is applied on the surface of the pad or the surface of the pad and on surfaces of the existed construction adjoining the chamber at a distance of not less than the thickness of the sealant band. Besides, the height of chamber filling with non-polymerizing sealant should be selected of not less than the mean width of the crack or joint, and it is good practice to make the pad of non-woven material, or foil, or paper impregnated with an antiadhesion compound of pavement.
