FIELD: communication equipment. SUBSTANCE: phase of signals received by members of one of array columns is modulated in time using monotone increasing or decreasing function with period T and delay, which increments by ΔTx from one emitter to another. Phase of signals, which are received by members of one of array lines is also modulated in time using monotone increasing or decreasing function with the same period and delay ΔTy from one emitter to another. When received signals are detected, method involves detection of constituent, which angular frequency is 2Ω, where Ω = 2π/T,. Also, modulation frequency 1/T is wider than signal spectral width. Values of direction cosine about X and Y axis towards emission source conform to condition , where x0 and y0 is step about X and Y axes, and λ is wavelength. Method provides possibility to detect direction towards radio emission source using antenna array of information transmission system. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities of antenna arrays of information transmission systems without changes in their high-frequency circuits. 3 dwg
