FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method for synthesis of wideband antenna arrays is based on weighting signals received by each radiator using complex weighting coefficients. The frequency band Δω=ω_h-ω_l, where ω_h, ω_l are extreme signal frequencies, is taken into account when finding complex weighting coefficients. When determining complex weighting coefficients for each radiator, multiple, for example M, partial system diagrams are used, which correspond to excitation thereof by a unitary wave and zero phase at M frequencies within the frequency band aΔω=ω_h-ω_l, where ω_h, ω_l are extreme signal frequencies, wherefore the first Hermitian form selected is value of the power radiation pattern which is average for M frequencies in the direction of arrival of the signal, and the second Hermitian form is the value of noise and interference power which is averaged on the entire space at M frequencies.

EFFECT: high signal/(noise + interference) ratio in a wide frequency band.
