FIELD: antenna engineering; radars with single-pulse antenna arrays affording high precision of target coordinate measurements.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes separation of adaptive subarray on edge of original N-element phased antenna array incorporating adapted radiators, separation of signals received by each radiator in two channels, multiplication of signals received by radiators of adaptive subarray by weighting coefficients, phasing of signals received by radiators of original antenna array, addition of signals arriving from like outputs with phases affording generation of two beams of single-pulse group deflected from equisignal direction in generalized coordinate followed by formation of sum and difference directivity patterns; adaptive subarray has P + 1 adapted radiators, complex weighting coefficients of the latter being chosen to ensure that sum and difference directivity patterns equal zero in direction of noise and also that difference directivity pattern and derivative sum directivity pattern equal zero in equisignal direction; weighting coefficients of signals in remaining radiators are chosen to be equal to their values corresponding to desired or original distribution.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of target direction finding under active electronic countermeasures.
