FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing lumbotomy. Renal fascia is dissected from the back side. The kidney is selected. A flap is cut off from a lumbar muscle. The flap is attached to inferior or medial kidney segment and fixed. A 2-3 cm long incision is made in perpendicular to axillary median line below the twelfth rib. Retroperitoneal space is accessed intermuscularly layer-by-layer. Retroperitoneoscope mirror is introduced into the wound. The retroperitoneoscope mirror is set in oblique position along the lumbar muscle in cutting out the flap. Then, the retroperitoneoscope mirror is set near the inferior kidney segment. The lumbar muscle and kidney selection and muscular flap fixation is carried out using retroperitoneoscope. EFFECT: reduced risk of traumatic complications.
