FIELD: medicine, in particular, radiology, applicable in radiotherapy of oncologic patients. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in rotation of the ionizing radiation source at a speed determined according to the relation of the measured and required absorbed doses; the measured absorbed dose is set at rotation of the radiation source around the phantom modeling the dimensions of the patient at a speed of 1 deg/s. The patient is laid at distance L= A/2 ctgα below the centre of homology of rotation, where A - the patient's height, cm, α - - half the angle of source rotation. Installed above the patient is an absorber of ionizing radiation of variable thickness , where DIR - the distance between the ionizing radiation source and the centre of homology of rotation, cm; x - the distance from the patient's centre in the longitudinal axis to the plane crossing it, in which the thickness, cm, is determined; μ - the linear coefficient of filter material weakening. EFFECT: uniform distribution of absorbed dose over the patient's body in any medical treatment room with a rotary radiation source. 1 tbl
