HYDRAULIC CYCLONE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for separating liquid non-uniform media, particularly separation of suspensions by means of centrifugal forces, possibly in chemical, petrochemical, microbiological, paper making and other industry branches. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic cyclone includes cylinder-cone housing having tangential inlet branch pipe, branch pipes for discharging clarified and condensed fractions, pressure chamber. The last is in the form of cylinder-cone apparatus with tangential branch pipes spaced along height. One of these branch pipes is coaxially adjoined with tangential branch pipe of cylinder-cone housing of cyclone and it is matched with it. Such structure of hydraulic cyclone allows to reduce hydraulic resistance in working zone at least by 20%. EFFECT: enhanced operational efficiency of cyclone. 2 dwg
