FIELD: turbojet engines. SUBSTANCE: to implement the proposed method the following is done: at transition to cruise power setting, simultaneously with reduction of amount cooling air delivered to manifold, gas from turbine blading it delivered to inlet of turbine wheel cooling system. Ratio of mass consumption of gas and air is chosen within the limits of 0.8 and 1.6. Centrifugal forces acting in radial channels of disk and channels of wheel blades reduce pressure at inlet of wheel cooling system. Gas-air mixture, thus formed, gets into radial channels of disk and blades where, first, relatively "cheap" gas-air mixture cools rather efficiency the elements of turbine of turbine wheel, and second, "heats" them relative to engine maximum power setting, thus decreasing radial clearances between blade and turbine housing. It should be mentioned the gas-air mixture velocity at cruise power setting and cooling air velocity at maximum power setting in channels of disk and working blades are close to each other and, consequently, heat exchange efficiency at cruise power setting increases. EFFECT: increased efficiency of turbine and reduced specific consumption of fuel at cruise power setting. 1 dwg
