FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to hydraulic manipulation equipment and can be employed for evaluation of strength of members of structures, dynamic stability, operational capabilities and safety of above-mentioned equipment. Strain-gauge transducers of ohmic resistance are positioned on members of structure of hydraulic manipulator in some most loaded sections so that they are sensitive to effect of loading in vertical direction only, others are sensitive to effect of loading in lateral direction. One end of boom is loaded with static load prior to testing. Then structure of hydraulic manipulator is loaded dynamically by way of movement of weight in specified direction and abrupt braking. Dynamic loads in corresponding sections of metal structure are found by analytical dependencies with use of result of static calibration and dynamic testing. EFFECT: simplified approach, reduced time and material expenditures for its realization, enhanced authenticity of results. 2 cl, 14 dwg
