FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities; multi-purpose reversible hinged hydraulic manipulators. SUBSTANCE: base has housing with combination bearing unit for mounting slewing column with boom equipment of manipulator. Housing is made in form of two compact load bearing plates spaced in height and rigidly coupled by means of welded-to tunnel tube arranged in center and box-shaped welded-to thin-walled casing coaxially enclosing the tube. Horizontally orientated parallel open through C-shaped slots are formed in housing at two sides of tunnel tube by side cross walls of casing and surfaces of plates pointed to each other. These slots are used for fitting-in detachable cross beams fastening hydraulic manipulator on vehicle chassis frame sidemembers.
