FIELD: taking bearings of aircraft or any other moving objects in short-range navigation region, during take-off, and landing. SUBSTANCE: method includes determining angular coordinates of flying vehicle by measuring signal transmitted from ground radio direction finding station on board vehicle, signal modulation frequency being in unambiguous consistency with direction of radiation; frequency of signal transmitted from ground radio direction finding station is modulated, frequency of signal received on board flying vehicle is transformed by heterodyning, signal modulation frequency is measured, flying vehicle bearings are calculated for which purpose signal modulation frequency obtained is multiplied by factor determining consistency between direction of signal radiation and signal modulation frequency; direction of radiation is varied in space within direction finding sector by rotating radiating antenna in direction opposing angular displacement of flying vehicle relative to ground radio direction finding station.
