SOIL FALLOW AMELIORATION METHOD Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves autumn plowing; cultivating fall-plowed fields with furrow-forming mechanisms; providing presowing soil cultivation for fallow-grown crops by destructing ridges formed during autumn plowing; forming new ridges extending in axial alignment with former ridges upon germination of weeds; simultaneously performing liming. Ridges are reformed at 15-20 day periodicity. Fallow-grown crops are sown simultaneously with ridge forming and fertilizer applying procedures. Upon harvesting of fallow-grown crops and provoking of weed plant growing, autumn tillage is performed by forming new ridges through destructing of existing ridges. Method provides effective fallow amelioration by destructing vegetative organs of weed plants and activating soil processes due to regulating soil temperature and ventilation mode by forming ridge-shaped field surface and multiply reforming of ridges during warm seasons.
