FIELD: production of air cleaning means, particularly, antigas equipment; applicable in protection of human respiratory organs, eyes and head from smoke and toxic gases, including carbon monoxide formed in fires. SUBSTANCE: individual protective means includes hood of flexible material with sight hole formed of transparent material; half-mask with collar for fastening of filtering and absorbing cartridge. Half-mask is tightly connected with hood so that half-mask is found inside hood and collar is outside of hood. Protective means has also adjustable headband. Filtering and absorbing cartridge consists of antiaerosol filter and absorbent mixture successively located in direction of air flow. Absorbent mixture of filtering and absorbing cartridge is made in form of layers of hopcalite and catalyst successively arranged in direction of air flow. Length of hopcalite layer relates to length of catalyst layer as 1:(0.25-0.5). Sight hole is formed of two successively located layers of transparent heat resistant material, one of which is colored. Offered protective means provides for high-quality air cleaning and universal reliable protection of respiratory human organs from harmful smokes, gases and heat under extreme conditions, and comfort conditions under conditions of fire with reliable preservation of visibility under smoke screening.
