FIELD: grinding processes and equipment, possibly in plants using abrasive tools for grinding parts of hardened heat sensitive steels and alloys. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of using abrasive wheel with intermittent working surface having dents and recesses arranged along working surface; determining quantity of wheel recesses according to formula depending upon revolution number of abrasive wheel and maximum vibration rate of wheel radial oscillations in finish grinding mode caused by unbalance of "machine tool - tool- worked part" system. By combining frequency values of forced radial oscillations of spindle caused by impinging wheel dents with part and by unbalance of above mentioned system, height of microirregularities on ground surface of part is reduced.
