FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to processing iron- and uranium- containing solutions obtained after deactivation of radioactive metallic equipment with different acid solutions. Uranium is sorbed from sulfuric acid solution containing U(IV) and Fe(II) ions. When solutions have been preliminarily long stored, reducing agent is added before processing, in particular sodium sulfite in quantity 0.045-0.09 g per 1 g iron. Sorption from 1-3% sulfuric acid solutions is accomplished with low-basicity anionite in sulfate form. Uranium is recovered from anionite with 2-2.5 M nitric acid solutions. EFFECT: increased degree of recovery of uranium(IV) ions and their separation from ferrous ions and enabled recycling of sulfuric acid solution. 7 cl, 1 tbl
