FIELD: compressor manufacture, namely production of rotary compressors used in all branches of national economy needing compressed gas or air. SUBSTANCE: housing of rotary compressor has lengthwise parting for forming suction cavity in upper portion of housing and compression chambers in lower portion of housing. Apparatus for fixing driven rotor is in the form of finned cavity provided in rotor body near its axial zone, having fixing sleeve with dents between fins and movably joined in axial direction with shaft of rotor drive. Free space of finned cavity is filled with loose material such as metallic balls and it is closed by means of lock sleeve. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of compressor operation. 9 cl, 5 dwg
