FIELD: mechanical engineering; rotary machines. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to rotary machines, such as compressors, and it can be used in internal combustion engines, refrigerating facilities and in chemical and food industries. Rotary straight-tooth compressor has driving and driven rotors installed in housing. Profiles of working surfaces of rotors has sections of curves. Description of invention contains equations of these curves in parametric form relative to axes X, Y, in rectangular coordinate system. It contains also description of profile of outlet port arranged at end face side of rotor pair and description of groove on driven rotor to discharge compressed gas from entrapped volume. Compressor efficiency is increased owing to optimization of profiles of working surfaces, cantilever mounting of rotors, provision of groove on rotors to discharge compressed gas from entrapped volume, use of swirl tube at second stage for cooling compressed air and forming suction and discharge ports to shape.
