FIELD: electrical engineering; sulfur hexafluoride disconnecting switches for high-voltage metalclad switchgear. SUBSTANCE: disconnecting switch has liquid resistor 2, movable contact 3, and fixed contact 4 with two shields 5 and 6 electrically connected through resistor 2 and placed in metal casing 1 filled with sulfur hexafluoride gas. One lead of resistor is connected to insulated shield 5 and its other lead, to shield 6 which is connected to fixed contact 4. EFFECT: improved reliability of switchgear due to reduced amplitude and increased rise time of surge pulse. 1 dwg
