FIELD: fire-fighting equipment; fire-hose barrels applicable at low, medium and high water flow rates. SUBSTANCE: outlet circular channel is made so that profiles of outlet part of body internal wall and surface of outlet tip of deflector installed in barrel space have curvature increasing in direction to barrel outlet and radii of cross-sections of these surfaces reducing in same direction. With this design of barrel under conditions of long-range dissipated jet, intake pressure reduces on the average by a factor of 2, as compared with known barrels. EFFECT: simple in design and easy in control of operating conditions, reduced intake pressure with preserved efficiency of fire extinguishing under conditions of continuous jet or penetrating long- range dissipated jet of water. 1 dwg
