NOZZLE FOR LIQUID SPRAYING Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B05B1/26

Abstract RU 2272679 C2

FIELD: liquid spraying equipment, particularly liquid spraying nozzles adapted to generate high fog having droplets of average median droplet diameters of 100-200 μm.

SUBSTANCE: nozzle comprises body with nozzle channel and splitter of ovaloid or spherical shape. Profile of inner wall surface of axisymmetric nozzle defining solid of revolution has curvature increasing towards nozzle outlet. Angle between tangent to outlet wall profile edge and nozzle axis is 35°-65°, preferably 45°-50°, ratio between nozzle diameter and outlet nozzle section diameter is 0.25-0.45. Besides, ratio between splitter midlength section diameter and nozzle orifice diameter is 1.8-2.5.

EFFECT: possibility to obtain necessary spray characteristics along with reduced pressure difference due to increased dynamic liquid head and optimal ratios of splitter-nozzle dimensions.
