FIELD: temperature measurement in heat engineering, atomic power engineering, chemical industry, in various technological processes and sets using heat transfer agent in liquid phase. SUBSTANCE: method determining error in measurement of temperature of object includes taking readings of temperature sensitive element mounted on object with heat transfer agent. Taking readings of temperature consists in recording of controlled readings of temperature sensitive element at moment of onset of temperature stop of cooling process. In this case temperature of solidification of heat transfer agent of object is assumed as actual temperature and error is determined as difference between measured and actual temperatures. Method makes it possible to measure errors in points of installation of temperature sensitive elements difficult of access since it provides for determination of measurement error without dismantling of these elements. EFFECT: simplified process of measurement of errors.
