SUBSTANCE: method primarily used for quality control of NaJ125,NaJ131 base preparations as well as for investigations concerned with cleaning process water and waste gases from radioactive iodine in isotope production processes, that is, for determining iodate- and iodide-ion proportion involves following operations. Iodate- and iodide-ions are separated into fractions using ion chromatography method involving background suppressed on styrenedivenylbenzene sorbent HIKS-1 using weakly alkaline buffer carbonate solution as eluent and sample thinner, introduction of carrier solution containing stable-iodine base iodate- and iodide-ions, measurement of fractions accumulation time and specific activity of and radionuclides in fractions obtained.
