FIELD: radiochemical technology, more particularly preparation of radiopharmaceutical agents marked by radioactive iodine isotopes, e.g. iodine-123. SUBSTANCE: reaction of catalytic isotope exchange of iodine atoms is carried out between 15-(paraiodophenyl)-3-methylpentadecanic acid and Na1231 in ethanol in the presence of ascorbic acid and copper salt at temperatures from 130 to 150 C for 18 to 22 minutes. The described product is recovered from reaction mixture by selective sorption on sorbent. Duration of process of preparation and purification does not exceed 40-50 minutes and short-lived iodine-123 isotope losses are reduced. The final product is essentially solution of 15- (para-iodophenyl)-3- methyl pentadecanic acid marked by iodine -123-1231- in ethanol having radiochemical purity of not lower then 98%. No toxic and corrosion active agents are used. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 9 ex, 1 tbl
