FIELD: manufacture of plumbing and decorative ceramic items. SUBSTANCE: optimal amount of filler depending on its chemical and mineralogical composition and dispersion can be determined by proposed method; to this end, resistivity of pure slurry and samples containing filler is measured, then their graphical dependence is constructed; point of curve degeneration into straight line is determined. Their comparison shows amount of moisture involved in formation of hydrate shells for filler particles. Topologic linkage between filler particles is recognized by their proportion in mass content which may vary between 0.076 and 0.16. Method provides for identifying moment of optimal structure formation in composite ceramic materials by calculating topologic linkage of filler particles and for calculating optimal amount of filler in porcelain-faience slips with adequate degree of confidence. EFFECT: reduced cost and improved quality of products. 5 dwg, 2 tbl
