FIELD: mechanical engineering; abrasive tools for grinding metals and alloys. SUBSTANCE: sectional grinding wheel is made up of abrasive segments installed in slots of metal housing by means of flexible members and pushers. Abrasive segments are secured in axial direction by means of flange and bolts. Housing slots are made in form of dovetail. Segments of solid lubricant are installed slacklessly in spaces between abrasive segments. Holes for bolts fastening flange to wheel housing are found in lower part of segments. Invention provides formulas for calculating lengths of arc of abrasive segments and hard lubricant segments. With grinding wheel operating, effective lubrication and reduced friction of abrasive grains on material of blank under machining are provided. Heat stress in process and wear of grinding wheel are reduced, and grinding wheel strength and serviceability are increased. EFFECT: increased efficiency of lubricating and cooling member. 4 dwg
