FIELD: manufacture of structural materials for metallurgy and manufacture of semiconductors. SUBSTANCE: 62.3% of non-calcined slate-like resinous coke of small fraction at size of particles of 0,02 to 0 mm (80%) and 0.09 to 0.02 remainder is mixed with 37 mass-% of coal-tar pitch and 0.7 mass-% of organic surface active agent. Temperature of mixing ranges from 120 to 130 C. Mixture is molded under pressure of up to 3.5 MPa, after which it is cooled and crushed. Blanks are compacted from powder thus obtained; density of these blanks ranges from 1.08 to 1.15 g/cu.cm; then blanks are calcined at temperature of 800 to 1300 C and are graphitized at temperature of 2500 to 3000 C. Density of graphitized material ranges from 1670 to 1750 kg/cu. m; compressive strength is equal to 74.0 to 78.0 MPa and bending strength is equal to 45.0 to 52.6 MPa. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 tbl, 1 ex
