FIELD: transport engineering; trolley-buses; protection of passengers. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sphere of electric shock protection of people and it is designed to provide safety of passengers and maintenance at contact with nongrounded body of vehicle. Proposed method and device provide quick acting safety system for electric vehicle passengers in two-wire DC supply systems under any operating conditions, irrespective of type of supply system (insulated system or system with one grounded pole) by providing vehicle body zero potential relative to surface of road pavement on which passenger stands at moment of touching the body. Problem is solved by forming regulated compensating voltage between negative supply input and body, polarity of voltage being defined by polarity of control signal. Body potential relative to surface of road pavement is used as control signal. Value of compensating voltage is set to provide zero potential of body relative to road pavement surface. Device used for implementing the method generates regulated different polarity compensating voltage depending on polarity and presence of control signal. Device is furnished additionally with two video pulse generators, integrator, and controlled switch unit. Regulated source of compensating voltage has pulse transformer, reservoir capacitor, limiting resistor and two controlled switches. Conductor insulated from body and provided contact with road pavement surface is used as control signal transmitter. EFFECT: provision of quick-acting electric safety system. 4 cl, 5 dwg
