FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves evaluating relations of anticomplementary gonococcus activity determined as erythrocyte complement-dependent hemolysis inhibition percentage in the presence of standard serum complement quantity causing 100% hemolysis, to local urogenital tract complement system activity determined as sensibilized erythrocyte hemolysis percentage. N. gonorrhea strains under study are cultured in liquid nutrient medium and supernatant is separated and placed into palette cells with Guinea pig serum complement titered to minimum dilution degree causing 100% hemolysis being added. Optically transparent urethra discharge supernatant or cervicovaginal secret taken from the same patients is added into parallel rows of micropalette cells. After filling the micropalette, sensibilized sheep erythrocytes are added to all cells. Complement activity inhibition percentage as anticomplementary activity and hemolysis percentage caused by reproductive tract complement action is recorded and ratio of the obtained values is calculated. The ratio being less than 1, short-term and/or not complicated disease course is expected to be the case. The value being equal to or greater than 1, protracted disease development with potential inflammatory infection complications is to be predicted. EFFECT: high accuracy of prognosis. 2 tbl
